The rivers in Kodiak are great for fishing sockeye salmon late May into June, pink salmon late June through August, and coho salmon late August into October.

Directions to the Best Western Kodiak Inn

The Best Western Kodiak Inn is at the entrance of town from the Kodiak Airport. The hotel is approximately six miles from the airport and two blocks from the Ferry Terminal. As the City of Kodiak is on the Northeast end of Kodiak Island, the only two ways to access the island is via ferry or plane! Either way you travel, the sights are beautiful from mountain and glacier viewing on the hour long flight from Anchorage, or wildlife viewing on the ferry trip from Homer.

From Kodiak Airport:
Take a Right out of Airport Rd and follow Rezanof into town (traveling NE, six miles distance). The BW Kodiak Inn is located on the left coming into town.

From Ferry Terminal:
Take a left, follow Marine Way around to the flashing light. Take a left at the flashing light (Rezanof Drive) and the hotel will be up a block to the right.
